That dude that's been doing the Gore vs. Bush graphics for CNN has outdone himself. It looks like Gore is actually trying to bite Bush's head... Egads!

They look like they are screaming in pain. Similar to the Phantom Zone effect in the second Superman movie. Or was it the first? posted by thirteen at 2:00 PM on November 29, 2000
Al Gore is a brain-sucker. I've said it since the beginning but no one believed me. posted by amanda at 2:03 PM on November 29, 2000
Al Gore is a brain-sucker.
Then why would he be trying to bite into Shrub's skull? (Of course, I've been saying for months that AG2K is a replicant.) posted by harmful at 2:05 PM on November 29, 2000

Well, it has been said that whoever ultimately wins the Presidency will be a one-termer. I see that the Tyrell Co is doing their part behind the scenes. posted by ethmar at 2:07 PM on November 29, 2000
Niccola posted the link, then she made a comment. I refresh in 10 minutes, the link is gone. Another 10 minutes a new link. what happened? posted by tiaka at 2:09 PM on November 29, 2000

tiaka, I deleted it, because I thought we've had enough "wacky CNN graphic" links. I could have sworn someone else had mentioned that specific graphic this past weekend. No offense Niccola, but the post didn't seem to warrant discussion either, it was more of the "here's a funny thing" variety. If people are going to post election links at this point, I'd hope they were primarily for discussion, unless of course they're amazingly funny or something. We've done the CNN graphic stuff before, that's all. posted by mathowie at 2:28 PM on November 29, 2000
I thought that was it. posted by tiaka at 2:37 PM on November 29, 2000
I posted that link on my site the week before last; that may be where you saw it, matt.
thirteen: the phantom zone appeared in both Superman 1 and 2. In the first one, General Zod and company were imprisoned in it at the beginning, then they escaped due to a meteor shower in Superman 2.
Yes, I'm a Superman nerd. posted by owillis at 5:00 PM on November 29, 2000
Except it wasn't a meteor shower - it was an atomic bomb that Superman threw into orbit. And I'm not a Superman nerd. posted by Jart at 5:11 PM on November 29, 2000
Shouldn't that be...
